SHIPO Product Reviews Privacy Policy

SHIPO Product Reviews provides product review collection, moderation, ratings, photo reviews, merchant replies, and storefront review display for Shopify merchants.
Information we collect
When merchants use the app, we may process the merchant's Shopify store domain, app authentication and session information, app settings, review configuration, and information required to operate the service.
When customers submit product reviews, we may collect the reviewer's name, optional email address, star rating, review title, review text, uploaded review photos, associated product information, review status, and submission date.
How we use information
We use this information only to provide and operate SHIPO Product Reviews, including collecting reviews, allowing merchants to moderate them, displaying approved reviews on storefronts, storing review photos, supporting merchant replies, maintaining app settings, preventing abuse, troubleshooting, and complying with legal or Shopify platform requirements.
Review photos
Customer review photos may be resized or compressed before storage. Approved review photos can be publicly displayed on the merchant's storefront as part of the submitted review.
Service providers
We use service providers to operate the app, including Shopify for app authentication and storefront integration, Neon for database and object storage services, and our application hosting provider. These providers process information only as necessary to provide their services to us.
Data sharing and sale
We do not sell personal information. We do not use customer review information for unrelated advertising. Information may be shared with service providers where necessary to operate the app or when required by law.
Data retention
Review data and app settings are retained while required to provide the service. Merchants can delete individual reviews from the app. We also process Shopify's required privacy and redaction requests and remove applicable information when required.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information processed by the app. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
Merchant responsibilities
Merchants are responsible for ensuring that their use of product reviews and customer-submitted content complies with applicable laws and their own privacy policies.
Customer privacy requests
Shopify may send privacy requests to the app on behalf of merchants or customers. SHIPO Product Reviews supports Shopify's required customer data request, customer redaction, and shop redaction processes.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes or as required by applicable laws or Shopify platform requirements. The effective date shown above will be updated when material changes are made.
